Joe Korbuszewski
Cyclist, PBMA certified mechanic, lover of the Pacific Northwest, advocate for rail trails and bikes as transportation.
I founded Goldspoke in April of 2022 with the desire to forge my own path as a mechanic, while contributing to the cycling culture and community of Tacoma.
Goldspoke regularly works with UW Tacoma, Pierce County Health Department, and the City Of Tacoma for Bike Month, Earth Day, and other outreach events and programs such as Safe Routes To School and Tacoma On The Go. I also work directly with other local shops such as Cascadia Wheel Co, 2nd Cycle, Opalescent Cyclery, and Tacoma Bike (If you are interested in partnering, training, or support, please feel free to contact me).
Every year, you can find Goldspoke providing mechanical support for Cascade Bicycle Club’s Seattle To Portland, and other events such as the Ride For Major Taylor.
I have been a member of the Tacoma Transportation Commission since 2022, helping to shape the future of the City’s roads, transit, and pedestrian and bike infrastructure.
I have worked with Washington State Parks to advocate for the Palouse To Cascades Trail, while leading organized rides between Cedar Falls and Ellensburg for over a decade (I also rode the trail in its entirety back in 2022).
You can often find me on the Tacoma Tuesday Night Ride, or the Tacoma Coffee Ride.
*I’ll always wave back.
